Invest in an English School, Invest in Your Future
It so happens that some of the best English Schools are in Boston, Massachusetts. If your career requires you to learn English, or if it's important for you to learn English otherwise, Boston may be the perfect city to provide the foundation of that knowledge for you. Sure, it may be far away from where you're currently situated. But it's a city with lots of opportunity. Take advantage of it and you'll find a rewarding experience at every turn.
Consideration of which English school to attend should have a lot to do with where it's located. If it's in a rural area or even a city that doesn't have a lot going on then it probably won't be very beneficial. Boston is probably the ideal city to attend an English school. With many activities and an active community, you'll have more than the expected amount of opportunities to go out and pick up what you can from your surroundings. By witnessing English as it's spoken by local residents, you'll soon pick up important tips and tricks that will help you grow comfortable with the language.
When you come to Boston, you'll find that slang is spoken fairly casually, and as such you'll have to learn it. Unfortunately this is not something that's spoken or taught often in English Schools so it's something you'll have to absorb on your own. Don't give up -- I know it can be tough to learn both formal and casual language. So long as you're attempting to involve yourself in your community you'll be fine; it will come naturally. Don't give up or else you'll find yourself wishing you weren't here!
Instead of trying to learn English in a country where it's not spoken, travel to a country where it is -- a country where you'll be surrounded by fluent English speakers. This is probably the easiest and fastest way to learn English, as intimidating as it can be sometimes to be surrounded by people who don't understand you. If you're willing to give it a shot, I'm sure you'll find it rewarding. It will teach you a new kind of courage, so that when you're next presented with the obstacle of trying something totally new, you won't feel so uncomfortable about it because you'll have already done it before.
Consider the advantages of moving to Boston and attending a Boston English school. You get a world-class education, you get to take part in many wonderful activities, you get to explore a fabulous nightlife scene and meet tons of great people. Why would you go anywhere else? Boston has everything and more.
